 Our Goal |
• It has been forecasted that there will be great changes in the 21st century, including globalization, the information revolution, decentralization, increasing concern over environmental preservation and diversified lifestyles.
• Daejeon's Vision 2020 tries to suggest solutions to the changes affecting the socio-economic situation of its citizens. It also tries to promote regional independence and development. |
• The "Basic Plan for Daejeon City 2020" serves as a guide for municipal administration, and will be used in creating municipal policy.
• It is hoped that the openness of municipal administration will be maintained, and that the citizens will have a greater understanding of municipal policy and be actively involved in the administration. |
• The target date is the year 2020; the base year was set at the year 1999.
• Projects will be proposed in four stages:
