Daedeok Valley is a Cradle of high-tech venture industries built on the
research results of Daedeok Science Town, a major research park in Korea.
In September 2000, Daedeok Valley was chosen by the Korean administration
to make the best use of the research results accumulated in the past 30 years in
Daedeok Science Town to further commercialization.
Since, Daedeok Valley has emerged as an economic force.
In a narrow sense :
Daedeok Valley refers to Daedeok Science Town,
which is a pillar to the science valley,
in Daejeon Metropolitan City.
In a broad sense :
Daedeok Valley refers to an integrated industrial belt, which includes Daejeon, Cheonan of Chngnam-do, Ochong and Osong industrial parks of Chungbuk-do, and Jeonju and Iksan of Jeollabuk-do.
